Dr Katsouda is a linguist and Research Professor at the Research Centre for Modern Greek Dialects of the Academy of Athens. Her areas of expertise are dialectology, lexicography, morphological change and etymology.
The Greek edition of this excellent study was originally published by the Society of Kytherian Studies (Eteria Kythiraikon Meleton) in 2016. With the generous support of the Estate of the late Nicholas A. Aroney and the drive of KWHF founder George Poulos, the translation was published in 2020.
