Kytherian Aged Care Services Limited goal is to serve the needs of the elderly and frail. With the establishment of KythCare we have taken a giant step towards realising our goals to serve the needs of the elderly and frail in our community. We thank all our members for their generous support to date and we look forward to it continuing with KythCare

Kythera-Family.net

Kythera-Family.net aims to preserve the rich heritage of our wonderful island. Members of the community are invited to submit their family collection of stories, photographs, recipes, maps, oral histories, historical documents, songs and poems, home remedies etc. to the site.

Kytherian Research Group

We are about uncovering the rich history of Kythera and Antikythera. The pioneers of new exploration in the field of Kytherian culture and heritage. Particularly educating members of the Kytherian Diaspora and general public regarding elements of the island and it’s history that they may not have seen or known about. To engage, the community and related parties, help discover exciting new finds, and inspire everyone by sharing knowledge. One of the main priorities is creating new bodies of work through field research, discovering material that is not ‘yet’ written in books. Making a difference. Non Profit Organisation.

Kytherian Museum

This site was established by the Kytherian Research Group Inc and greatly assisted by volunteers. The Kytherian Research Group Inc. is a registered non-profit incorporated association in the state of NSW, Australia. Headquarters is based in the suburb of Lilyfield, Sydney. They are about uncovering the rich history of Kythera and Antikythera. Particularly educating members of the Kytherian Diaspora and general public regarding elements of the island and it’s history that they may not have seen or known about.

We Dig Kythira

We Dig Kythira is a community based movement, bringing together members of the public, students and scholars to help discover and share rich Kytherian history. Going out into the field and discovering ancient history from the ‘ground’ up. Then sharing findings with the community as an exciting way to learn about past civilizations and even connect with your own heritage.

AVAAZ

On April 27 2014, is scheduled to start the destruction of 100 tonnes of chemical weapons of the 1400 tonnes that were sold to Syria by the War Industries. The decommissioning process, with the method of hydrolysis, is scheduled to take place in international waters between Crete (Greece), Libya, Italy and Malta, under the auspices of the UN, NATO and the European Union.
