Welcome to Kytherian
Kitchen. This
initiative,
sponsored by the
Kytherian
Association, has
evolved from the
need to preserve our
culinary heritage.
We are offering a
series of cooking
demonstrations using
recipes that have
been passed down
from our mothers and
grandmothers. The
first course
commenced 1 May
2012, with an
overwhelming
response.
Our goal is to demonstrate
traditional Greek
recipes and show
that Greek cooking
does not have to be
complicated or time
consuming. We
also show how to
adapt recipes to
suit our Australian
way of life while
maintaining
authenticity. We
cover many recipes
that you would
expect to find in a
Greek home.
We hope to inspire you to
attempt all the
recipes.
We know that we are
achieving the goal
that we set out to
do when we hear that
the much younger
members of our
Kytherian Kitchen
Cooking Classes have
been making the
baklava often and
with great success!
